In a moment of downtime and admin, I was looking at some of the figures and was confused about just how much we were paying to paypal in fees. It just didn't add up with the table they publish. OMG!!!! You don't get discounts automatically, at the bottom of the page they say this (below) ........INTERESTED you £"^&%*"£ bet I am. I hope someone else is helped by this little discovery. I'll call them and ask for it back, chances........0% for sure. We could have spent this money on documentation (which we so desparately need to improve). Ebay + Paypal = crap service.

Thanks a lot for this Miles! I didn't know about the merchant rates either, they keep it well hidden. I've just applied and have been accepted. No doubt it will save us a lot of money over time. Paypal seem to charge quite a lot for the service that they offer. Thanks for pointing it out!

    Happy New Year!
